Raisin Cookies

RAISIN COOKIES

Ingredients:
– 2 cups raisins
– 1 1/2 cups boiling water
– Boil for 5 minutes and cool
– 2 cups white sugar
– 1 cup shortening
– 3 eggs
– 4 cups flour
– 2 tsp salt
– 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
– 1/2 tsp allspice
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Cream sugar, shortening, add eggs beat well. Blend into raisin/water misture. Stir together remaining ingredients. Blend flour and raisin/water mixture together and drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes.
